Christmas Shoot with 29 Degrees in July

You don't expect it, but last week Geeke (Photographer) and I, Vera (Designer), had a real CHRISTMAS SHOOT!

Christmas Cotton Balls

A few weeks ago Nick (Sales Manager) asked us if we could photograph our new CHRISTMAS Cotton balls. There are already a few companies that are looking for nice Christmas gifts, for example for the December gifts! Geeke and I looked suprised at each other; Do we have to photograph Christmas balls in the middle of the summer? And how are we going to do that?

We don't have a Christmas tree!

We made a nice mood board, assembled the Cotton Christmas Balls and found a nice location for the shoot. Now, we only need a CHRISTMAS TREE!

I made a call via the Instagram of LEDR (@ledr.nl) and luckily Priscilla from @mom.and.sara had a very beautiful -fake- Christmas tree in her shack and we were allowed to borrow it!

Of course, we had planned the date of the shoot in advance, we didn't new that there would be a heatwave in the Netherlands that week! On the day of the shoot it was 29 degrees! And with this wheater, we had to decorate a Christmas tree! Not only 1 time ... but 8 different times! Because we had 8 different combinations of Christmas Cotton Balls to shoot. The best part is that it is also had to be photographed in different angles, with different 'props' so that it is really a new picture! That is quite difficult, especially with the heat!

Luckily Geeke had a very nice fan which made the room quit cool!

We have to wait a little while for the results of the shoot, because Geeke is now enjoying her vacation!
